OUR MISSION

    Our mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world.  Drawing strength from our donated resources, we promote innovative solutions and advance human welfare through education and collaboration.

    A fundamental challenge that the disadvantaged in urban and underdeveloped societies face is the economic and social systems that promote peace and human welfare. We believe that the best way to meet this challenge is to encourage initiatives by those living and working closest to where problems are located; to promote collaboration among the nonprofit, government and business sectors; and to ensure participation by men and women from diverse communities and all levels of society. Such activities help build common understanding, enhance excellence, enable people to improve their lives and reinforce their commitment to society.

    Since our financial resources are modest compared with societal needs, we focus on key problem areas and program strategies:
 
·         Strengthening  capacity for self-help through Education
·         Basic prevention methods
·         Providing economic opportunity
·         Delivering relief in emergencies

    Guided by the aspirations of local communities, we pursue our mission with both excellence and compassion because the people whom we serve deserve nothing less.
